Mission

God calls each and everyone one of us in a very special and mysterious way.

We can see a revelation of the transcendence of God and the unworthiness of man. God called the prophets by revealing Himself to them, men who felt worthless, like incapable sinners, or had physical defects like Moses. These men were healed by God who demanded of them reparation for their sins. They were men who trusted in God and no one else.

In Isaiah 6:1-3, a seraph flew to Isaiah with a coal, touched his lips and wiped away his sins. He felt impure, lost, sinful, but willing to obey and do the will of God, for he trusted in Him. The Holiness of God calls each of us to sanctify our lives, through the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, and the Eucharistic banquet where we receive the nutrients, attributes, and qualities of Jesus Himself, which enables us to complete the mission God has inspired in us through our Baptism.

Through our Baptism, God reveals Himself to us in many ways. It is through prayer and silence that we can hear the voice of God calling us to fulfill His mission. We are unworthy of the mission; we are inspired by the Holy Spirit to begin, in a Private Association of the Faithful, the Seraphic Sisters of the Eucharist. As Pope John Paul II would say, “Be not afraid, have confidence, be faithful, let the Holy Spirit lead the way.”

In our community prayer we ask the Holy Spirit for the gift of wisdom as Solomon did. Models of this special call are the Blessed Virgin, meditating on her constant fiat to God, and Mary Magdalene, a great sinner called by Jesus, who was always at his side and feet from the time of conversion until after His resurrection, to be a witness and the first to announce His resurrection.
